  1. Can Epoxy Resin be used on Polymer Clay?

    1. Hi Cheryl,
Polymer clay is a bit trickier to coat. Polymer clay has an oil content which discouragers the epoxy from coating in a single layer so two layers are usually necessary. Epoxy coating will not form a chemical bond with the polymer but simply sits on the surface. So pieces should not be exposed to high temperatures or impact because delamination will occur. Apply 2-3 coats of either our resin spray or spray with a good quality acrylic from the hardware store. Once the spray is dry, the polymer clay can be coated.
